Apparently the best thing I can do to help the world is to follow Scrooge's advice: Die---and decrease the surplus population.
An article in today's New York Times about a (leaked) United Nation's report on the effect of climate change on world food supply, predicts that in the next few decades the world's population is expected to increase from an astonishing 7.2 BILLION people to an astronomical 9.6 BILLION and that, simultaneously, increased temperatures due to climate change will decrease the world's food supply by 2% each year.
Mother Nature appears not to know best.
